ATAR estimates shift year to year because they depend on how the full state cohort performs, which isn't known until after results are released. Use them to model scenarios: how does dropping one subject and strengthening another affect your aggregate? What does a two-point improvement in your best subject contribute compared to a two-point improvement across all subjects? For students serious about their results, pairing these resources with regular one-on-one tutoring tends to produce better outcomes than either approach alone — the resources explain the system, while a good tutor helps students actually perform within it.
